15th Anniversary Screening of the beloved mockumentary, with proceeds going to the Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization
A MIGHTY WIND (2003): Upon the death of folk music producer Irving Steinbloom, a memorial concert to celebrate his legacy is planned, with performances by his three most famous acts: The Folksmen, The New Main Street Singers, and Mitch & Mickey. The film follows the three acts as they regroup, rehearse, and return to the stage. Written by Christopher Guest and Eugene Levy, A MIGHTY WIND features unforgettable comedy and musical performances from Catherine O'Hara, Parker Posey, Fred Willard, and Jane Lynch, to name just a few!
Proceeds from this screening will support IRCO (Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization
) and their mission to promote the integration of refugees, immigrants, and the community at large into a self-sufficient, healthy, and inclusive multi-ethnic society. Founded in 1976 by refugees for refugees, IRCO has over 40 years of history and experience working with Portland's refugee and immigrant communities.
