Celebrate the bees, bats, beetles and birds that are important to our ecosystem.
Join us as we kick off National Pollinator Week (June 18 to 24) at the Oregon Zoo. Over the course of the week, there will be more than 20 events held by community groups and pollinator specialists throughout the state. It’s an ideal time to learn about pollinators and find out what you can do to protect them.
The Pollinator Party will feature experts who will inspire the community to take on the challenge of creating a pollinator-friendly yard or neighborhood. Helping to create a better environment for hummingbirds, bumblebees and butterflies will not just benefit those species, but help the planet and other species as well.
The zoo will be planning pollinator-friendly crafts and activities for the party.
Come and learn how humans can take actions to make sure that declining pollinator populations start to thrive again. National Pollinator Week and the Pollinator Party will offer plenty of practical advice on how we can address this urgent issue while we celebrate the valuable ecosystem services provided by these masters of pollination.
