Urbanism Next: How Emerging Technologies Will Change the City as We Know It with Nico Larco, Associate Professor of Architecture at the University of Oregon and is the Co-Founder and Co-Director of the Sustainable Cities Initiative and Becky Steckler, AICP, Program Manager for Urbanism Next at the University of Oregon
Advances in technology such as the advent of autonomous vehicles (AV’s), the rise of E-commerce, and the proliferation of the sharing economy are having profound effects not only on how we live, move, and spend our time in cities, but also increasingly on urban form and development itself.
In this talk, architect and urban design professor Nico Larco, AIA and land use planner Becky Steckler, AICP — both from the Sustainable Cities Initiative at the University of Oregon — will talk about how these changes will have profound effects on cities and our lives.
