Rare Diagram is releasing a music video for «Keep Me» from our upcoming record. We’re screening it at Turn Turn Turn in North Portland before it’s release. We shot the video on location in Tillamook State Forest and Cape Kiwanda, with Director / Editor Hanna Hagen and Director of Photography / Colorist Sean Conley.
Stoked to be joined by a multi media bill, including Avant-Jazz duo The Crenshaw, poet Ally Harris and dancer Paula Helen.
Andrew Jones- voice, upright bass and electronics
Christopher Johnedis- drums and triggers.
The Crenshaw can allude to tensely repetitive footwork and juke beats, explosive art rock, ambient minimalism and delicate free improvisation all in the span of 3 minute songs that employ stuttery drums, warped synths, dastardly bass/voice counterpoint and self-effacing or darkly humorous lyrics.
Paula Helen is a storyteller, performance artist, clown and dancer. They have collaborated with Lela Besom, Brutus Losko, Larissa Kaul and Oceanna Burke. They have performed at Lightbox Kulthurhaus, The Headwaters Theater, The Taoist Studies Institute, TK Lofts, The Tiny Theater and Manifestation.
Ally Harris has two chapbooks of poetry, Her Twin Was After Me (Slim Princess Holdings) and Floor Baby (dancing girl press). Her writing has appeared in Tarpaulin Sky, inter|rupture, Sixth Finch, TYPO, The Volta, and more. She is the Poetry Editor of Heavy Feather Review and submission, a reading series run by blind online submission in Portland, OR.
