And prescription pills aren’t always the best solution. Come learn some strategies to taming headaches, and when to seek medical care. These strategies include trigger management and dietary supplements.

— Holly Hinson, MD MCR is a board certified Neurologist and queer activist. She founded the American Academy of Neurology’s LGBTQI section in 2017 to promote equal access to quality neurologic care and the elimination of disparities in treatment and outcomes through education and research nationally. Despite evolution in social attitudes, LGBT-identified persons still face significant stigma leading to health disparities. Many of these disparities are linked to minority stress and how LGBT identity intersects with other aspects of identity, such as race/ethnicity or socioeconomic status.
