* Women's classes are a safe and supportive learning environment specifically for women to develop skills that are conventionally not made available to us due to gender bias.

Learn how to safely replace outlets, switches, and light fixtures. These simple skills can save you tons on an electrician's bill or a home remodel, or even bring an old lamp back to life. Lots of hands-on practice along with loads of info to help you decide which projects to tackle yourself, and when to ask for expert help.

Skill level: This class is built for beginners.

Topics covered:
how does all this even work? — demystifying the basics
«hot» or not? — making sure it's safe to work
then & now — simple updates vs major re-wiring
making safe connections

* This class focuses on common 110V «finish» electrical, and provides a foundation for more advanced topics that won't be covered in this class (i.e. new wiring, adding receptacles, going off-grid).

IMPORTANT EVENT INFO
Class fees & donations: All class fees include materials. Want to throw a little extra in to support our scholarships? There’s a donation option at registration to add any amount that you want to pay forward. A donation receipt will be included with your registration confirmation email.

Scholarships: Limited scholarships are offered on every class registration page, and are generously supported by fellow students. Please accept this gift if you need it. Our only request is to limit yourself to one scholarship every 2-3 months to keep these opportunities widely available.

Refund policy: We currently do not offer refunds or transfers between classes. You may, however, transfer your ticket to another person who is 18 or older. If you need help finding someone to take your spot, you are welcome to post in the class event on our FB page, or ask us to share your email address with the class waitlist.

Ongoing classes: Hear about new class announcements every other week, or check out all currently scheduled classes here.
