Living Prism is elated to present:
༺ ORIGIN ༻
Join us in this autumnal celebration of music, art, friendship & movement. A multifaceted co-creative evening featuring world leading visionary artists, virtual reality, and performances — bridging our ancient past to our galactic future.
☾ Live Music by:
⊱⊱ Dirtwire ⊰⊰
Dirtwire sits on the back porch of Americana’s future, conjuring up a whirlwind of sound using traditional instrumentation, world percussion, soundscapes, and electronic beats. Comprised of David Satori (Beats Antique), Evan Fraser (The Dogon Lights; Bolo), and Mark Reveley (Jed and Lucia), each performance brings us all to a mysterious crossroads of beats, blues, African, Asian, and South American sounds. The result is a rebirth of Americana and a post-millennial psychedelic journey to down home goodness.
⋐ Thriftworks ⋑
Bay Area, CA
Berkeley, California based producer Thriftworks offers his own uniquely original take on forward thinking electronic music, weaving eclectic samples and explosive modern bass that continually pushes the envelope while taking the art of beat-crafting to new heights. Garnering much praise from fans and critics alike with his steady stream of outside the box sound and unclassifiable music, Thriftworks has quickly become to be known as one of the finest experimental producers. Thriftworks’ use of deep low-end and wall to wall synths seem to channel something ancient and mysterious, offering up an intoxicating musical high with an invigorating breath of fresh air. These sounds activate the senses, enrapture the mind, move the body and provide the audience with an unforgettable experience.
⋘ Desert Dwellers ⋙
Santa Fe, NM
Desert Dwellers consists of Amani Friend and Treavor Moontribe, who began their careers as independent music producers and DJs in the deserts of New Mexico and California. Coming together in the late ’90s after connecting through the legendary Moontribe scene, today the duo enjoys a reputation as one of the most pioneering and prolific downtempo, psy-bass, and tribal trance acts in the world. Desert Dwellers have toured extensively across six continents, touring with renowned psychedelic artist Shpongle, and have performed at dozens of festivals such as Oregon Eclipse, Shambhala, Lightning in a Bottle, Envision, Coachella, Rainbow Serpent, and Boom. Taking a new approach to digital production, Amani and Treavor have combined the raw sounds of the natural world while skillfully blended deep bass, earthy percussion, etheric voices and cross-cultural instrumentation into sonic incense for the mind and body. Bringing the electronic music vibe to the yoga scene, and the sounds of yoga to the electronic dance scene, Desert Dwellers’ global sounds are the bridge between the worlds of dance and movement.
⊲ Living Light ⊳
Entrancing dub and body-moving uptempo electronic opuses are the hallmark of the Living Light sound, blending global beats, indigenous voices, swirling symphonic melodies, and a dash of psychedelia that has lit up audiences coast to coast. Eartha Harris officially launched her Living Light project in 2012 having spent half a decade behind the keyboards in the pioneering live electronic hybrid Psylab. She now has two full albums and two EP's under the Living Light name, her most recent pair released on Desert Dwellers' Desert Trax label, in addition to compilation appearances on Merkaba Music and Sofa Beats compilations, and official remixes for Papadosio, CloZee, Wildlight, Desert Dwellers, and many more heavy-hitters on the festival circuit. The name «Living Light» has multiple interpretations, and simultaneously refers to living non-materialistically, maintaining a positive outlook, and all life originating from the stars.
