Over the past three decades, a lot of great players have worked as members of Lloyd Jones' band, Struggle. Dover Weinberg and David Kahl are just two who can say they've done more than one tour of duty with this stellar unit. Another is Mike Klobas, who was there, pretty much in the band's infancy. With Brian Foxworth preparing to hit it with PeeWee Ellis and Fred Wesley, we've taken the opportunity to welcome Mike back into the fold for the next two Wednesdays.
But wait, there's more!!! Coming back home from his successful performance in Las Vegas at the Big Blues Bender is none other than Ty Curtis. This young man is deeply rooted in the Blues, while bringing a wealth of other influences to the table — just like the masters of old. There's nothing that's more exciting than seeing the Blues move into new directions and Ty is in the vanguard of this new wave.
We know that we can expect some special guests to bring their offerings to this potluck — Randy Monroe, Pete Moss, or, as we were lucky to have last week, Peter Dammann, we can count on some pretty stellar celebration, as we always do. It can only get better if you're there to cheer us on, put on your best party persona, and dance around the room!
We would love to see your lovely, handsome, smiling faces. Our manager, Phillip Bucket, aka Phil the Tip Jar, will also be attending. If you give him a little love, we promise that you will be complimented on your good looks and even better taste!
