IMPERMANENT PROJECT 002.1:
I HATE MONDAYS #1
This is the beginning of something, my friends. Surely you want in on the ground floor?
On Monday, October 9, IMPERMANENT will kick off a monthly series of experimental events at our (/your) friendly neighborhood Beer & Slawchos dispensary, Turn Turn Turn. We promise very little rock and roll (outside of Ju Suk Reet Meate's Link Wray leanings, natch), at least in the conventional sense, and very much mind expansion. Who couldn't use a little of that here and there?
Here's what on the docket for our freshman exposition:
-SNAKES ON GRASS, a collaboration between multidisciplinary artist Shane Palmer, Ju Suk Reet Meate, and Oblivia (the latter two AKA Tenses, AKA two integral parts of PDX/LA legends Smegma). Explorations, surprises, and some things that will perhaps be left unsaid. A rare treat, indeed.
-THICKET, the deep listening+heavy aktion trio of Brian Mumford (Dragging an Ox through Water), John Niekrasz (Why I Must Be Careful), and Ben Kates (HalfBird). Their last appearance at TTT ripped a hole in the sky, which is good, because we could use more rain (who ever thought we'd be saying that in this town?).
+One other thing, probably not a band, to be announced.
