AMANI is the musical collaboration of Yafe Aros and Dan Talmadge (Minden, No Lala). Alive and vibrantly well. Presence is given in abundance for it flows through us as a gift beyond the immortal and into the eternal. For it is the reflective perception of love that we believe in and so shall our benevolence shine through. In this act of expression we become limitless. On the regular we take it to the highest peaks. Always and forever, AMANI means peace, peace.
Tribe Mars is a guerrilla faction of freedom fighters combating against the forces of tyranny and systematic oppression through music, art, and spiritual practices learned from our extraterrestrial Martian brothers many lifetimes ago on the Red Planet.
Their expression through the use of their instruments channels these ancient practices and beliefs, which are then internalized and etched into the souls of those exposed to their tight grooves and soulful vocals
Songwriter and producer, Amenta Abioto, is on the cutting edge of all that is musical, theatrical, and literary. Her music is boldly mystical and soul-fired, and her raw live performances invoke elements of both theatrical surprise and magic through ancient African diasporic sounds and stories. Weaved into syncopated rhythms and dichotomies of comedic proportions, Amenta surprises and tantalizes audiences with mind-bending ideas. She brings to the music scene funky academia while skipping vocally from soul-shaking gospel to smooth jazz and then onto hip-hop rhythms wrapped in West African beats.
