Ways & Means Oyster House will celebrate their Grand Opening in Bridgeport Village, with their inaugural Portland oyster-eating contest to benefit local charities, on Saturday, August 26 at 10 a.m.
The event boasts fierce competition coupled with a good cause, as $3 from every oyster eaten by the winning team will be donated to that team’s charity of choice. Three team members from the Tigard Police Department, Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue, and the Tualatin Police Department will each be given 60 seconds to eat as many oysters as they can, while spectators cheer on their favorite team.
Attendees can enjoy food and drinks from the lunch and brunch menus during the event, with a $1 from every brunch dish sold during the event between 10:00 am — 11:00 am going to the winning charity as well.
