Join CoHo Productions for the very first Portland Dramaturgy Open Office Hour Project!
The Dramaturgy Open Office Hours Project began in New York City in 2014 to offer a user-friendly, no cost introduction to the often nebulous world of dramaturgs and dramaturgy. The project has since branched out with office hours happening across the country.
This time, the conversation will be focused on “What is a dramaturg and what can they do for my project?” Drop in anytime between 5:00 and 6:00pm on Friday June 23 for an informal, unstructured chat about dramaturgs and dramaturgy led by CoHo Artistic Fellow (and Dramaturg) Jessica Dart. Grab a coffee from one of the many neighborhood shops, and come on over to the CoHo lobby to join the conversation.
Join us if you are:
— A playwright or director who has never worked with a dramaturg, but wants to
— An aspiring dramaturg who wants to ask questions or make connections
— A seasoned dramaturg who wants to share the love
— Interested in bolstering the educational and audience engagement activities surrounding your theatre project
— Curious about dramaturgs and dramaturgy for any reason
After the office hour, stay for Kelly Kinsella’s HOW TO DO A ONE PERSON SHOW at CoHo Summerfest! A sweet little ticket discount code will be provided for Office Hour attendees to use at the box office for Friday's 7:30pm performance.
